BANG secured a record number of creative awards and competitions in 2022. The agency has been recognized in prestigious competitions such as Guldägget, Gyllene Hjulet, and Epica Awards, among others. But what does it mean to win these awards, and why do we actually compete in them?

It is also a reason why we are one of the few, if not the only, agency that has the capacity to win both in both Guldägget and Gyllene Hjulet," says Alba Montheli, competition manager at BANG.
Participating in creative competitions has become an integral part of BANG's business. "Participating in creative competitions is a way to quality assure ourselves. Everything in the world is relative, and if there is nothing to compare with, how do you know if something is long or short, good or bad? Competing is a part of knowing if we measure up," says Lars Andersson, planner at BANG.
BANG's winning streak in 2022 includes a Golden Egg and first prize in the Publishing Prize for the film series "Straight outta Tampere" for the Finnish tech company Wirepas. The campaign has also been recognized in international competitions such as the Epica Awards and Transform Awards Nordics. BANG has won other prestigious titles, such as Grand Prix, Best Event Agency, Most Creative Strategy, Best Brand Experience, Most Sustainable Event, Best Public Event, Most Creative Use of Copy, and Best B2B Event, for clients such as the Swedish Armed Forces and UNICEF.
”We choose to participate in different creative competitions for many reasons. It certainly provides good PR and increases our credibility as an agency, while also confirming that the communication we create measures up in the industry. Completing the competition entries also gives us an extra opportunity to look at our business and projects from an outside perspective, which opens up critical thinking," says Alba Montheli.
